Hypno-Birthing ® helps to eliminate the fear-tension-pain syndrome before, during and after birthing. It uses relaxation and hypnotic techniques to replace fears and tension with confidence, calm and comfort and to greatly reduce or eliminate childbirth pain. Hypno-Birthing uses hypnotherapy to induce a natural state of relaxed concentration - a state of mind and body in which we communicate suggestions to our unconscious mind. This part of our mind influences what we think, and how we feel and the choices we make. It can actually control pain. Almost anyone who chooses can reach a deep relaxation and redirected focus. When having your baby with HypnoBirthing® you may experience something similar to daydreaming or focussing that occurs when you are engrossed in a television programme. You will be conversant - totally relaxed but firmly in control. You will experience your birthing in an atmosphere of calm, without fear and tension that cause pain. Your body's natural anaesthesia known as endorphins will replace the stress hormones that create pain. When your baby is born you will be awake and involved. I am a certified Hypno-Birthing ® Practitioner working with small groups or individual couples.
